Berlin Calendar 2016: U-Berlin

The 2016 calendar shows 13 different subway entrances in the urban environment in the usual reduced s.wert style. The calendar is printed in two colors, black-grey and turquoise, on high-quality recycled paper.

We have been designing calendars with architectural illustrations since 2009 and the calendars have now become coveted collectors' items. The 2016 calendar is the first that we have designed in two colors. The limited edition is printed in black and turquoise on high-quality recycled paper.

Several hundred thousand people use public transport to move through Berlin every day. Most of them take the subway. The Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG for short) maintains the largest subway network in the German-speaking world, including 173 stations. We show some of them in the calendar.

n January, a dynamic graphic from the Zoologischer Garten underground station ensures a good start to the new year. In February there follows a look at the housing development at Kottbusser Tor with its many satellite dishes. Rosenthaler Platz and Fehrbelliner Platz can be seen in March and April.

In May, the view leads from the Alexanderplatz underground station up to the hotel high-rise and in June the Hansaviertel is shown in a green environment.

In the illustration of the Warschauer Strasse, an element that is new for s.wert design appears in the graphics – people. The graphic was created before the nearby RAW site made headlines this summer due to late-night raids and violence.

A graphically reduced view of the Hallesches Tor underground station can be seen in September. The Deutsche Oper station accompanies us in October, in November you can see an exterior view of the Bundestag station and the year ends with a beautiful central perspective of the Eberswalder Strasse station.
